George Westby got engaged to Cindy Tailor. This was a great joy for his father Andrew, who later that night passed away. The question is, what will the young widow Ernestine now do? Stay as a helping hand at the farm, when George gets married? or remarry and move on, taking her two sons from the marriage with her? She does like the new smith, Richard.. and he has this nice big house in the village.. George is all for her leaving the house, as he has noticed attraction between her and Matthew - that would be a very bad thing, scandal really. Finally Ernestine moves to Richards house, with her sons, planning to marry him in the spring.
Georges brother Matthew gets engaged to the young Winifred Knight, a much better choice for him.
The maid/nanny Susan Chapman had one too many fights with George, and he fired her.
Before spring, both brothers married their fiancées - and as soon as he could Matthew and Winifred moved out, to make a new life for themselves in the town of Windleport. Matthew is a money sim, maybe he will set up a shop of some kind.
In the spring, George and Cindy will have to more hire help to be able to handle the big farm..

Nancy serves dinner.

Neigbour, the newlywed Mrs Bernadette Meade, visiting, playing
with the kids - probably longing for children of her own..
