Bell

Start Up Windleton Bell Paynter Thorneapple

The Bell family lives in the Vicary, and the head of the family is traditionally the vicar of Windlebridge.

Second winter

The late vicar, James Bell, died, and left the Vicary to his eldest son Horace, who still studies at Windle College, but who already took on the responsibilities for the Windlebridge church.

James' widow, Mrs Kathleen Bell, resides in the Vicary with the two youngest children, Jennifer and John, when the second winter is starting. There is also a young servant boy, Charles Stokes, who Mrs Kathleen took in and gave the opportunity to study with John at the convent.
